Designed as the lexical companion to Wikipedia, the encyclopaedia project, Wiktionary has grown beyond a standard dictionary and now includes a thesaurus, a rhyme guide, phrase books, language statistics and extensive appendices. We aim to include not only the definition of a word, but also enough information to really understand it. Thus etymologies, pronunciations, sample quotations, synonyms, antonyms and translations are included. Asked by emily.renee - Fri Oct 31 23:26:24 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. catching a flight out of Honolulu is the only way. If you want to visit a cool place try the big island, fly to Hilo and rent a car and drive to Volcano's National Park that is an excellent day trip. Spend some time in and around Hilo it's a cool city. Answered by Nancy P - Sun Nov 2 12:05:19 2008 I want to live in Tahiti or North Shore of Oahu, and just be a small local, how real is this dream? Q. I want to live in a shack, I'll always be out so I don't need a nice place, and just want to work at a simple surf shop or something simple for some cash. Just live the easy life, you know? How possible is this? Get a simple job, little shack, and live on one of the islands of Hawaii? Asked by Dane S - Tue May 19 22:33:44 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Of course you can do that. I would pick Hawaii over Tahiti, just because it is easier to get yourself established in Hawaii. Tahiti is pretty neat, but you almost need to be Tahitian or French to work there. I don't know if there are even any surf shops on Tahiti. It is a coral Atoll and someone who wanted to surf would have to get out beyond the reef to do so. If your interested in Tahiti, I would get a passport and go down there for a visit, but have a return ticket. That way you can check it out and see if it will work for you. Hawaii would be a lot easier. Heck, your still in the United States. I don't know how the economy is there right now, but just about anyone can get a job if he will take anything. The surf is great… [cont.] Answered by Paul S - Tue May 19 23:04:15 2009 Is it hard to find a job on the North Shore/Oahu?
