Kauaʻi or Kauai, known as Tauaʻi in the ancient Kauai dialect (pronounced /ˈkaʊ.aɪ/ in English and [kouˈɐʔi] or [kɐuˈɐʔi] in Hawaiian) is the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands. With an area of 562.3 square miles (1,456.4 km), it is the fourth largest of the main islands in the Hawaiian archipelago and the 21st largest island in the United States. Known also as the "Garden Isle", Kauaʻi lies 105 miles (170 km) across the Kauaʻi Channel, northwest of Oʻahu. This island is the site of Waimea Canyon State Park. Other airlines will match. There were restrictions, though. First off, overall prices may go up anyway, for fuel cost reasons. So what I would recommend is buying on travelocity.com which has a guarantee, if the prices go down, you will get a refund for the difference...plus. In general: Prices are usually cheaper in advances. For special pricing it is 7-14 days in advance, on some routes it is just 3 days, others there is little difference. What I usually do is try the route for tomorrow, next week and two weeks from now to see how they differ and where the cut off for cheap fares is.
