The theory goes that you can look from the cliff top at the Pauwela Lighthouse, which is down a dirt road across from the Haiku Community Center, near Haiku School. In reality, it's quite easy to take a wrong turn in that neighborhood. The Hookipa Overlook is a parking lot on a cliff that looks over a popular windsurfing site. That one's much easier to find. The turnoff from the Hana Highway is clearly marked, and it's not as far away from town as Pauwela.
